Viticulturist & Future Vineyard Manager

Kalum Winery is growing, and we’re looking for a dedicated Viticulturist with the potential to take over the position as Vineyard Manager – a dedicated colleague who will lead our vineyard operations and help shape the future of our wines.
This is a hands-on, year-round role for someone who loves being in the vines, enjoys planning and structure, is motivated by quality from soil to bottle and who possess great motivational and managerial skills.

Your Role
As Viticulturist & Vineyard Manager, you will be responsible for:
• Planning and executing all vineyard operations (pruning, canopy management, spraying, crop thinning, harvest planning, etc.)
• Hiring, managing and training permanent staff, seasonal staff and interns during peak periods
• Monitoring vine health, pests, and diseases and implementing sustainable solutions
• Coordinating closely with the winemaking team to align vineyard decisions with wine style and quality goals
• Operating and maintaining vineyard machinery and equipment
• Keeping records of treatments, yields, and vineyard performance and using data to improve quality year on year
• Closely work with the management team to create a strong culture, where curiosity, technology and professionalism goes hand in hand with tradition and craftmanship.

What We’re Looking For
• Education in viticulture, oenology, agriculture or similar – and solid practical experience in professional vineyards
• Several seasons of vineyard work; management experience is a strong advantage
• Strong understanding of cool-climate viticulture and quality-focused grape growing
• Ability to lead by example, motivate a team, and maintain a positive working environment
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather and in a physically demanding role
• Good English skills (Danish is a plus, but not required)
• A valid driving licence; experience with tractors and vineyard machinery is an advantage
• You are eligible to obtain, or already hold, the right to work in EU/Denmark.
